Every year our camp is blessed with several fantastic leaders who volunteer their time to teach the love of Christ to campers! We are so grateful for their unique talents and how they make our camp flourish!
Camp Directors
Tim Cossins
Tim CossinsTim Cossins is the director of both kids and youth Midlakes Camps. Tim works at SBU and serves in the Children’s and White House Ministries of FBC Bolivar with his wife, Jana. They have three kids- Kylie, Hayley, and Peyton.
Ezra Piper
Ezra PiperEzra Piper is co-director of youth camp. Bre is co-director of kids camp. Ezra and Bre Piper are members of Berean Baptist Church in Bolivar and help with the children and youth ministries. Ezra works for Liberty Utilities in Buffalo, MO. Bre is a stay at home mom to their son, Walter.
Requirements for Midlakes Camps Leaders
- Must be a born-again believer and an active member of one of our Midlakes Baptist Association Churches.
- Must have recommendation by your church pastor (and/or children’s or youth minister).
- Must pass our background screening.
- Must be approved by camp committee.
- Junior Camp Leaders for Kids Camp must be 16 years old.

Camp Committee
The camp committee operates under the leadership of the overall Midlakes Baptist Association Executive Board. The camp committee meets regularly throughout the year to plan and prepare for camp. The committee is made up of members of churches in the MLBA. Each committee member must be prayerfully considered and voted on before joining the committee. Other leaders and visitors are more than welcome to attend committee meetings, they simply will not have a voice in official voting business.
Our current Camp Committee is made up of these wonderful leaders:
- Ezra Piper (Berean Baptist Church of Bolivar)
- Sarah Spurgeon (First Southern Church of Stockton)
- Judy Coppedge (FBC of Bolivar)
Other leaders that are a part of meetings, but not officially on the Committee include:
- Tim Cossins currently serves on the MLBA Board as a Youth Ministry Chair.
- Bre Piper currently serves on the MLBA Board as Children’s Ministry Chair.
